OCR formed in 1998 and is now one of the UK's leading and most respected regulated awarding bodies accredited to create and deliver public examinations in the UK. The heritage of OCR facilitates a unique breadth of expertise in both academic and vocational qualifications.

Students writingThe range of qualifications from OCR is wide and varied and there are choices for learners of all ages, abilities and needs. Over 13,000 schools, colleges, workplaces and other institutions use their A Levels, GCSEs and vocational qualifications.

OCR develops qualifications with educators, industry leaders and learners to ensure their provision is relevant and fit for purpose. They were the first UK examination board to forge effective links with industry leaders such as Microsoft and Cisco and their 21st Century Science GCSE qualifications are leading the way in generating new interest in the sciences among young people.
