Cambridge Assessment is proud to sponsor this year's event. As Europe's largest assessment agency, we are keen to support the role that new technologies will play in enhancing the range of assessment services that can be offered.
Ensuring validity, robustness and reliability of assessments is essential in developing and maintaining qualifications to ensure that students' achievements are recognised as formal and credible awards.
The use of eportfolios allows qualifications to be changed to focus more accurately on the critical aspects of what needs to be assessed. The emphasis on transcription and accounting transfers to one of justification and reflection, with the use of digital media, enriching the range of evidence presented.
Our UK awarding body, OCR, will present key findings of work it has done in the field of e-portfolios.
The conference will take place on 27 and 28 October 2005 at Robinson College, Cambridge.
