Cambridge Assessment responds to DfE's Key Stage 4 Qualifications Reform

Simon Lebus, Group Chief Executive, said: “We welcome efforts at serious reform of the education system. What Michael Gove is suggesting is radical and we believe that our experience of developing and delivering educational assessment both in the UK and 160 countries worldwide can help to deliver these reforms.”

Cambridge Assessment operates both the Cambridge International Examinations and Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations boards and has the largest research capability of its kind. This is what has enabled the Group to create so many innovative qualifications - such as Cambridge IGCSEs, Cambridge Pre-U, GCSE Computing and Cambridge Technicals - working closely with schools, Higher Education, governments and employers.

“We will study the proposals closely, play a full role in the consultation and prepare to deliver research-led, rigorous and fair qualifications,” added Simon Lebus.
