Visiting Cambridge

Visiting Cambridge

The beautiful city of Cambridge offers inspiring history and activities to occupy the modern visitor in equal measure.

Just 50 minutes by train from London, Cambridge is best known for its historic University, and a tour of its stunning college buildings (on foot or by punt) is not to be missed. Culture can also be found at the city’s museums and galleries as well as a choice of theatres and live music and comedy venues. And in between there is a chance to relax in its outdoor spaces, from the University Botanic Gardens to the open spaces of its extensive greens and commons.

Shopping is also a great Cambridge experience, from its historic market to independent shops and major high street brand at the Grand Arcade. There is also a great choice of places to eat out including traditional riverside pubs, popular chains and a Michelin starred restaurant.
