Innovation MENA (Middle East and North Africa) is a ministerial summit specifically devoted to ICT innovation in education and developing digital skills. The event is a high-level meetings-based forum initiated by the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and brings together ministers, senior government officials, universities and civil society stakeholders from across the MENA region and African countries to engage with leading industry operators and solution providers.

Cambridge Assessment International Education, Cambridge Assessment English and Cambridge University Press are attending together and will be showcasing their worldwide education initiatives. The organisations work together in partnership to develop and deliver education reform programmes around the world. The shared mission, as not-for-profit departments of the University, is to 'contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence' and this is embodied in their work.

On Sunday 29 July Charles Clarke, former British Secretary of State for Education and Skills, will give a presentation at the summit on behalf of Cambridge called ‘Getting educational transformation right’. And then on Monday 30 July Karen Kester, Deputy Director Education Services, Cambridge Assessment International Education will chair a question and answer panel session titled 'Investing in innovative ICT reforms in education' with a panel of five ministers of education.
