Hosted by the Network this seminar examined the role of the Corporate Archives from the organisation's beginnings as the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate in 1858 through the subsequent years of continuity and change.

Andrew Watts covered the history of the public examination system in England and the creation of the Local Examinations Syndicate while Gillian Cooke talked about the role of the Archives and what they hold in relation to the history of Cambridge Assessment. It was an interesting insight into policies and practice that the Archives reveal and the human stories that emerge from history. For more information see Cambridge Assessment Group Archives.
