Tim Oates, Director of Assessment Research and Development, Cambridge Assessment, and member of the Ofsted Curriculum Advisory Group, will chair this inaugural event providing clarification and guidance on Ofsted’s new Education Inspection Framework for school headteachers and senior management, chairs of governors and heads of curriculum.
The conference will explore what the new framework will mean in practice for Ofsted inspections.
Keynote speaker Professor Daniel Muijs Head of Research, Ofsted, will give the latest update on the updated evaluation criteria and present findings from Ofsted curriculum research that support the new inspection judgements.
The event will also include a case study from Kings Langley Secondary School, which is working towards meeting the new inspection framework’s quality of education judgement, and findings from a report by England’s Department of Education on improving teacher workload.
Attendees will also hear from the 2017 winner of the Mind Wellbeing Champion Award, Carole Black of Dr Challoner’s Grammar School, on how to support the mental health of staff with regard to the delivery of the new inspection framework.
