Your first day

Your first day

We know first impressions count and we want to make the transition into your employment here at Cambridge Assessment as simple and as straightforward as possible. Therefore, contained within these pages, you will find lots of useful information regarding your new place of work.

If you have any questions or queries that are not answered within these pages, please contact your local recruitment representative.

As we are an organisation where continuous improvement is really important to us, we would also really like to hear about your experiences with Cambridge Assessment so far. If you have a spare 5 minutes to complete our new joiner survey, your feedback will really help us in making everyone’s new starter experience a great one.

What to wear...

Across Cambridge Assessment we have constant contact with stakeholders and the general public. It is therefore important that we are seen to be professional and competent. For this reason, we all need to present a professional, business-like image to customers and the public at all times. This means that you must attend work in a mode of dress suitable for our workplace.

In some areas of Cambridge Assessment it is appropriate for uniforms to be worn and if you work in these areas your manager will inform you of the relevant uniform requirements. In these circumstances the Group will provide the uniform and you will be expected to wear it. With the exception of chefs’ whites, aprons and tabards, you will be expected to launder your own uniforms. If you are provided with personal protective equipment - such as safety shoes - it is to help protect you and you must therefore wear the equipment when at work.
