Join our UK exam board, OCR, launching a consultation into a GCSE in Natural History at a live online event. The proposed GCSE is a response to the call to develop a Natural History qualification. Last year, we were approached by naturalist Mary Colwell, who had been spearheading a campaign to address this gap in education content. Mary had gathered over 10,000 signatures on a UK Parliament Petition, from schools and environmental organisations, in support of such a development to the secondary school curriculum. Since then we have been working closely with Mary, the Natural History Museum and many others to propose the purpose and themes of such a qualification. Join our live online Natural History consultation launch
The consultation opens on Thursday 4 June 2020 with a live one-hour session between 17:15 - 18:15. Throughout the session the research and development of our proposal so far will be explained in detail. It will also provide you with the opportunity to tell us your thoughts too.
Throughout the session you will hear from key supporters including Beth Stone of the Natural History Museum, Sir Tim Smit of the Eden Project, Dom Higgins of the Wildlife Trusts and young advocates from Teach the Future.
