Ajay is part of the Data Science Unit. He has vast experience in delivering Analytics and Data Science solutions.

Matthew’s expertise is in analysis of large datasets and statistical modelling, having previously worked as a scientist analysing ecological data.

Lucy is Acting Deputy Director for the Research Division. Lucy's areas of expertise include the moderation of school-based assessment and research data management. She previously taught English.

Filio is a Senior Researcher specialising in assessment and linguistics. She carries out research to inform qualification (re)development across the organisation, and is particularly interested in integrating assessment and linguistic perspectives to identify and explore novel questions.

Victoria's areas of expertise include question writing processes, question quality, validity, comparability, and the judgement processes involved in assessing learners.

Gill has a background in Psychology and has been involved with the Aspects of Writing research for over 20 years examining elements of 16+ candidates' writing. From May 2024, Gill has taken on the role of Acting Director for the Research Division.

Tim's main areas of interest are the application of multilevel models in analysing assessment data, and the analysis of patterns of uptake and attainment in schools and colleges.

Jackie is a Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society whose main area of interest is research focusing on education and curriculum.

Anne-Claire leads the Data and Analytics team who design and support several operational data services.

Jo has worked on various comparability and validation projects at Cambridge University Press and Assessment, including the unique 'Aspects of Writing' research series.

A former university lecturer, passionate about research, Can joined the Research Division in January 2025. She has worked on several projects related to Education and Curriculum, and is now involved in Qualifications and Assessment research.

Martin is a senior researcher working in the Education & Curriculum team. He completed his PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge.

Pia is a senior researcher who is conducting research in the Education and Curriculum team. She completed her PhD in Education at the University of Cambridge.

Elinor is a mixed-methods researcher in the Qualifications and Assessment strand. She has a background in Criminology and Anthropology.

Dominika works in the Education and Curriculum team and has a background in psychology. She has previously worked in secondary schools and universities.

Alejandra is a researcher in the Educational Measurement team with a background in Educational Psychology and Economics.

Nicholas leads a programme of work in innovation and development having had over twenty years' experience in technical, research and leadership roles at Cambridge University Press and Assessment.

Carmen is a Principal Researcher in the Educational Measurement team. The focus of her work is on using statistics and psychometrics to ensure that assessments are reliable, useful and fair. Her research provides evidence to support Cambridge University Press & Assessment teams in developing and delivering assessment products of the highest quality.

Nicky's main area of interest is the comparability of examinations with a focus on comparisons of international education systems, having previously been a Primary teacher.
