Cambridge International Examinations recently welcomed 47 school leaders to the British Embassy on the 41st floor of Torre Espacio in Madrid for their annual Senior Level Forum.
HM Ambassador to Spain Simon Manley CMG was kind enough to open proceedings. Then Nick Mazur (Senior Manager, Iberia, Northern & Central Europe) provided an update from Cambridge; Oli Greene (Programme Lead) provided an overview of Cambridge’s approach to on-screen testing, and guest speaker Paul Teulon (Director of Admissions and Registry Services at King’s College, London) explored changes to the UK university admissions landscape.
The Forum provoked a lot of discussion, with delegates getting into groups during the presentations to share and prioritise their training needs. Many took the opportunity to network after the presentations over drinks and tapas. Many heads spoke positively about the content, usefulness and location of the Forum on the night.
Zoe Neville-Smith (Marketing Communications Manager, UK & Europe) said, "Thanks to colleagues who helped make the event possible, and also to UKTI, whom we’d recommend to those running events in other countries – they provided vital administrative support for the event in-country and were highly professional throughout."
