The Latvian education organisation, Skola 2030 is hosting a conference on Assessment for Learning to gather local education leaders together, including: policy makers, school headmasters, teachers and regional assessment institutions. It aims to bring together delegates to influence discussion on how students can be best supported during a period of transition. Latvian schools and preschools are set to start their transition to the improved teaching content and approach in the 2018-19 school year. The transition has been designed to ensure that students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are important in the modern world.

We look forward to hearing colleagues from Cambridge Assessment deliver keynote presentations and workshops to discuss how the teaching approach can be changed in Latvian schools and preschools.

Cambridge Assessment's Group Director of Assessment Research and  Development, Tim Oates CBE will be delivering two keynote presentations and a workshop session to tackle opportunities and challenges for learners graduating in 2030 and discuss approaches to judging school quality by using evidence from international comparisons. His sessions will include an opportunity to reflect on possibilities and 'best action' in the Latvian context.

Delegates will also hear from our daughter company, Cambridge Assessment International Education's Abigail Barnett, Deputy Director Curriculum Programmes and Dan Bray, Deputy Director Projects, who will deliver a workshop on Rich questions in rich contexts and Designing effective assessments, respectively.

This is an invitation only event, for more information visit the Skola 2030 website.
