Cambridge Assessment is sponsoring Westminster Education Forum's seminar on  Next steps for England's examination system. The seminar will provide an opportunity for delegates to talk about the future of England's examination system, its performance and future shape, and key priorities for Ofqual.

It follows Ofsted’s recent emphasis on the importance of balancing the demands of the exam system with the wider curriculum, the Government response to its consultation on primary assessment and comes with reform ongoing to both GCSEs and A Levels. Stakeholders, policymakers and regulators will assess the developing role of technology in assessment and exams - looking at its potential impact on examiners and teachers’ workloads - measures that can be taken to ensure effective delivery, and how it might need to evolve.

Delegates will also consider steps that can be taken to attract high quality and experienced examiners, measures that can be taken to improve consistency of exams, and the place of e-marking in the system.

Sylke Scheiner, Assessment Director from our UK exam board OCR, will give a keynote speech on What next for England’s exam system?

More information about the seminar including the full agenda and how to register can be found on the Westminster Education Forum website.
