Assessment Manager

Salary: £35,300 - £46,500, Location: Cambridge

What it’s about

We regularly recruit for a growing assessment department providing an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, dynamic team working at our offices in Cambridge to produce top-class assessment materials. The roles vary depending on the subject but the core responsibilities will be similar for each assessment manager post.

What you’ll be doing

You will be working with a range of subject specialists and consultants to develop syllabus documents, test specifications, specimen papers and live assessment materials. The role involves checking, proof-reading and approving question papers and mark schemes to produce valid and reliable assessment materials for a range of qualifications, including IGCSE, O Level, International A Level and Pre-U. You will also be involved in managing examiners to ensure that assessments are accurately marked and graded, to provide reliable results.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated professional who can work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for their own work. You will be a graduate in you specialist area, ideally with experience in teaching (possibly in an international context) and are likely to have knowledge of assessment issues. A keen problem solver with meticulous accuracy, you will have a proven ability to manage your workload when under pressure to meet multiple deadlines and will enjoy contributing to the success of Cambridge International Examinations.
