100 years of Cambridge English exams celebrated at Cambridge Guildhall

The Mayor of Cambridge and Julian Huppert MP were among the guests at a celebration to mark 100 years of Cambridge English exams at the Guildhall in Cambridge on 29 January 2013.

Cambridge English 100 years celebrationThe event and exhibition showed how the Cambridge English exams have grown from humble beginnings to being taken by millions of people around the globe every year. To mark the occasion, 350 delegates saw the unveiling of a specially commissioned slate plaque carrying the inscription Knowledge, Innovation and Excellence – designed by the Cambridge-based Cardozo Kindersley workshop.
