Cambridge Assessment welcomes new Group HR Director

02 September 2013

A new HR Director has just begun work at Cambridge Assessment. Liz Allan will be responsible for a 2,000-strong workforce. She has taken over the role from Sue Durham, who retired in July after 12 years as Cambridge Assessment’s Group HR Director.

Liz, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, joined Cambridge Assessment after seven years with Danaher Corporation, where she supported three businesses, Leica Biosystems, Gilbarco Veeder Root and Linx Printing Technologies as an HR Director with UK, European and Emerging Markets responsibilities. Before that she spent nearly eight years as HR Director EMEA at Aspen Technology Inc, joining from Novartis where she had been Head of HR for nearly seven years.

“It’s an interesting time to be joining Cambridge Assessment, and I’m really looking forward to the challenges in my new role,” Liz said. “Cambridge Assessment is a local employer with a prestigious history and a significant and growing international footprint. I know I’m going to enjoy being part of the organisation and contributing to its development.”

Liz, who is married with one son, lives near Cambridge. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Leeds Metropolitan University.
