Cambridge Assessment has been recognised as a top 30 family-friendly employer by UK work-life balance charity, Working Families

The charity helps working parents and carers—and their employers—find a better balance between responsibilities at home and in the workplace.

Today Working Families has announced its 2020 Top Employers for Working Families benchmark. The list features large and small employers across a range of sectors who are leading the way in building flexible, family-friendly workplaces. For the first time Cambridge Assessment joins the list of the Top 30 Employers.

Sam Valentine, Group Employee Experience Manager at Cambridge Assessment, said: “We’re delighted with this recognition – not just for the recognition itself but because it shows the progress we’ve made over the last couple of years with the support of our Staff Networks and people right the way across Cambridge Assessment.”

All employers on the list were assessed using Working Families’ Benchmark and were scored on four key areas to build a comprehensive picture of their flexible and family-friendly policies and practices that specifically support people who want to work flexibly, including mothers, fathers and carers.

Saul Nassé, Group Chief Executive, Cambridge Assessment, said: “We have embraced flexible working across Cambridge Assessment in recent years as we have seen how it can increase the motivation of our people, allow them to work more effectively together, and get more done. In doing so, we’re able to reach more learners and create more impact. I’m pleased our approach has been recognised by Working Families.”
