OCR Chief Executive leaving

10 September 2015

Statement from Simon Lebus, Group Chief Executive, Cambridge Assessment

“I am sorry to announce that Mark Dawe has let me know that he is leaving his position as Chief Executive of OCR following the successful completion of this year’s summer exam series.

“Mark has been at OCR for five years and has been responsible for stewarding the organisation through a period of major change in both its general and vocational business. I would like to thank Mark for this good work and wish him every success for the future.

“Mark will be leaving on September 30 and he will be succeeded by William Burton who will join us as Interim Chief Executive of OCR. William is an experienced interim leader and is familiar with the world of qualifications as his most recent position was at the CITB (Construction Industry Training Board).

“This is an exciting time for OCR as we continue to develop reformed GCSEs and A Levels and roll out ambitious plans for our skills and employment operations. I look forward to working with OCR to make a success of this.”
