Assessment Network conferences bring together people from many different sectors who share a common interest in assessment. They provide a platform for sharing best practices, exchanging ideas, and addressing the challenges in assessment, creating a community of like-minded professionals.
One of the reasons I chose to attend a conference like this is to hear from experts from diverse backgrounds and institutions. We gather people who are tackling the various challenges in assessment and create space for debate and discussion. It’s a great opportunity for the assessment profession to unite.
We invite keynote speakers to address some of the big questions in assessment and complement this with breakout groups where our members share their insights and current practices. This format offers attendees a sense of belonging to a community of practice, where they can meet people from different contexts and exchange ideas.
By the end of the conference, participants are often inspired by the discussions. They return to their organisations with new ideas, ready to innovate and potentially change their practices. Moreover, we develop a collective voice in the assessment profession, equipping us to face the future challenges of assessment together.
