My areas of research interest include teacher education, learning theories, and critical policy analysis. The focus of this work is supported by my experience as a research assistant with CIE, a Centre of Excellence at the University of Sussex, where I collaborated with leading scholars and engaged in high-impact educational research. I also have extensive experience in teacher education, developing outcome-based curricula, and implementing different education reforms in the Middle East.

My published work on the intersection between teacher education policies and gender equity in the UAE critically examines how global discourses are interpreted and implemented locally, highlighting the complex interplay between policy and practice. Currently nearing completion of my PhD at the University of Cambridge, I investigate how and what teachers learn in a professional learning community in a public school in the UAE, contributing to evidence-informed innovation in teacher education.
