The Second Annual Conference of The Medway Network (a network of the Chartered College of Teaching) aims to explore how we as educators, choose to pass on the vast, accumulated wealth of human knowledge and the experience that is created by it, to the children and young people in our schools. The Conference aims to create an opportunity for senior and middle leaders and governors to strengthen the quality of learning for children and young people.
Tim Oates CBE, Director of Assessment Research and Development, will give a key note speech at this event discussing why the curriculum is a hot topic around the world and the implications this has for schools in England.
The event will also include key speeches from Mary Myatt and Dr Janet Goodall, and attendees will have the opportunity to attend four workshops, where they’ll hear about a range of approaches to developing and implementing the curriculum. This will include a workshop by Fiona May, the Deputy Head of The Rowans Alternative Provision, which won the National ‘Outstanding Team of The Year’ Gold Plato in 2017.
